There are several ways to enhance the visual appeal of a painting or artwork with lighting for your interior. Most interior designers in Kuala Lumpur would recommend LED lights because oil paintings are less heat resistant.
Explore placing the lamp or lighting in a way that will give life to the painting. You can consider adjusting the lighting accordingly to bring out an effect you desire for your paintings. From our experiences, pointing the lights from the left or right of the painting never fail to create the most beautiful effect. We believe that too much light or too little light might impact the visual aspect of the art piece.
It is crucial that the picture light projects well beyond the picture and even above to ensure no direct reflection in the art itself.
Make sure that the light is not too cold and it is dimmable to achieve the best results on the painting.
Personally, we feel that art and paintings should be hung at eye level. The central piece should be hung at eye level if there is a series of pieces.
